Possibilities of electronic information and educational environment of university in organization of effective independent work of students

Researched are conditions of modernization of Russian higher school, training in which should be built on differentiated basis, have problematic and developing character. The main purpose of higher education is to prepare graduate, who is not just knowledgeable but who knows how to apply his knowledge. In this regard, there is a need for continuous self-education and self-development, in development of selection skills useful for students of professional development and improvement of information. At the same time, efforts of the teacher should be aimed at creating environment, focused on independence, interactivity, productivity of students’ activities, environment, that provides opportunity to form individual educational experience of student moving along their own educational path. To organize effective independent work of students it is advisable to create integrated system for organizing this work, based on information and educational environment of university. The article presents experience of organizing independent work of students at Arzamas branch of Nizhny Novgorod state university through the electronic information and educational environment of university. The article describes developed electronic courses in disciplines of psychological pedagogical cycle, shows importance of such areas of independent work of students when using electronic educational environment of university, as search for necessary information, preparation for practical, laboratory, seminar classes, preparation for survey, colloquium, test preparation, preparation for tests and other types of written test works, and preparation for various competitions, contests and others.
