Presented is analytical overview of principal themes and ideas of philosopher N.А. Berdyaev. Presented are principal dichotomies, that make up dialectical framework of his philosophy, shown are both originality of philosophical approach and it’s theoretical development in the process of creative development. The novelty of the research consists in generalizations, concerning the nature of the work of the philosopher and in determining his role in philosophy of modernity. Also presented are the most vivid ideas of N.A. Berdyaev in their development and their dialectical character and cultural-historical movement. Shown is, that the philosopher sharply understood problems of changing epochs, continuity of ideas and themes remained the same and moved from book to book. The article is dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the birth of the thinker.
