Training managers in tourism in English language as foreign one: contemporary approach

Presented is modern view on the process of teaching English as a foreign language to managers of tourism. The author emphasizes importance of having command of foreign language in the current economic situation in the country. This helps graduates of non-linguistic university faculties in their future job in search, allowing them higher salaries compared to those, who speak their native language only and become successful in their careers. The paper proves vitality of student’s group work, as well as the need for unsupervised work, that makes tourism managers more disciplined and responsible for the results of their training. The author puts forward new methods of monitoring results of students’ achievements and proposed some possible options for group work in class.
