Presented is scientific analysis of the conception of cultural and historical division of the world. Key thought of this conception was historically binarity of division of the world into the West and the East. In New and Newest tines there appear deepened interpretations of this plan with departure from binary system of world order. Being on the edge of two cultural worlds between the West and the East, Russia constantly comes under their influence. All the time, in history of Russian state there was constant struggle of two principal ideological streams, i.e. pro-European and “natural”, appealing to keep traditional national origins. In connection with that, researched is the character of interactions between Russia and the West on fundamental scientific level as the key of the sphere of sharpen inter-civilization contradictions.
