Discussed is the problem of extremism as social manifestation in the modern world. Elaborated are causes of manifestation of extremism and effect of influencing on social, cultural and political phenomena, that provoke in contemporary society tendency in some social groups to extreme views and measures, reflecting in impatience, aggression, violence against persons who do not share their views. Revealed is attitude of schoolchildren and students to manifestations of extremism. Also defined is level of risk of extremist manifestations on the eve of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
