Innovative experience of university on development of Olympiad movement of schoolchildren

Described is practice of holding complex city Olympiad for pupils of 9–11 classes, i.e. interdisciplinary mass Olympiad among both school-persons and schools of the city, having not visible analogues in Russia. The format of the competition, it’s content and regulations of holding allow to receive additional positive results in development of Olympiad movement, as well as in construction of unified educational space of the city with the use of high school resources, that is resulting in improving the quality of education, creative development of students and their academic growth. In the article presented is analyzes of a number of original contextual tasks, that were offered to schoolchildren for solving in competition in physics tours. Most problems are offered in the form of a cognitive problem and have practical content. Analysis of the results of Olympiads shows direct interest of students in solving contextual problems, that is one of driving components of educational process.
