Discussed are problems of using of combined approach to lecturing in methodology of teaching to study, based on example of training in information technology. During the study, are being used analysis of publications on the topic, synthesis of practical experience and method of expert estimations. In the article suggested is the use of combined approach, allowing to perform effective search in incomplete information in variety of situations. Approach is based on combination of fuzzy algorithms with direct solution search. In informatics science, proposed approach is being implemented by using methods of analogy and trial and error. Shown are features of teaching methods of search of missing information for solving educational and practical problems. It is concluded, that when teaching informatics search, based on application of methods of analogy and trial and error as a rule manifests itself as more effective.

Key words: concept of teaching to learn, incomplete information, search of information, combined approach, fuzzy algorithms, direct search, informational technologies, method of analogy, trial and error method.
