Analyzed is the process of professional development of young specialists in library and information sphere. Special attention is paid to cadre potential of young specialists of municipal libraries of Belgorod region, their professional education and teaching methods within frames of the system of professional development. The authors talk about the need to create an information-rich professional environment for young specialist? inclusion of young library professionals in the system of continuing professional education, launching of effective mechanism of motivation of young librarians. Proposed is using of the program of motivation of young library staff on principles self-respect, self-education and self-expression.
