Discussed is the problem of definition of the notion of “extracurricular educational breeding activity”, occupying important place in the theory of art (music) education. Raised are questions of actualization of extracurricular educational breeding work in the field of musical culture and art. Analyzed is the process of training specialists of creative profile in the context of modern views on this type of educational activity, and also labor market requirements. Special importance gains actualization of extracurricular educational breeding activity in connection with individual trajectory of students’ learning path. The article examines not only problems, associated with organization of extracurricular work of students in educational institutions of creative profile, but also sums up advanced experience of foreign universities in organization of this type of educational activity.
