Analyzed is conception of social capital, gaining decisive meaning for world society. Made known is essence of social capital under conditions of globalization processes. Conception of social capital includes sociological, philosophical and economic components. The named conception is particularly valuable because it gives opportunity to approach to the study of social processes with the use of new methodological principles, enhancing opportunities for explanation and understanding of modern social reality. Examined are both meaning content of the notion of “social capital” and it’s concept in interpretation of Western and Russian researchers. Also presented is the authors’ interpretation of social capital, as well as methodological approaches to it’s analysis.
