Cultural capital as a factor in the formation of subjectivity of civil society institutions: Analysis and results of a sociological study in the Belgorod Region

The article analyzes various approaches to the study of civil society institutions and the role of cultural capital in their formation. The definition of cultural capital, its structure and functions are considered, one of which is the formation of institutional civic subjectivity. The assessment of the level of its formation in relation to various institutions of civil society is given. The empirical basis of the article is the results of a sociological study “Problems and contradictions of the reproduction of cultural capital of civil society institutions in the region”, which was conducted by the authors in the period from September to October 2022 among representatives of civil society institutions of the Belgorod region (Russia). Based on the data obtained, the conclusion is formulated that cultural capital is one of the most significant factors shaping the quality of subjectivity of civil society institutions. As a result, the following novelty of the study was obtained: first, an auto was given.
