The article actualizes the problem of perception of entrepreneurship in the public consciousness of student youth. The importance of forming a positive attitude to this type of activity for the socio-economic system of the country is noted. Theoretical and methodological prerequisites for studying the status of an entrepreneur are considered. A secondary analysis of data was carried out, during which the results of large domestic research centers on a national sample were considered. The results of the author’s sociological study are presented, including a survey of students of universities in Tyumen and a series of interviews with active young entrepreneurs. A conclusion is made about the positive perception of entrepreneurs by modern youth and the need to continue state activities to develop entrepreneurship.
