The purpose of the article is to problematize the study of COVID-factors of the constitution of social reality in scientific discussions. The object of the study is the theoretical discourse on the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, represented by a set of scientific publications eLIBRARY, Publons, Mendeley, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, Sage, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley. This choice is due to the openness of the data: the studied segment of scientific texts did not pass the selection of scientometric optics, remaining part of the social discourse. This is important because the authors focus on the COVID-factors of the constitution of social reality.
The study is supported by general theoretical methods of typology and comparison. Mathematical methods of statistical data processing were used as instrumental ones.
In the logic of the study, it can be argued that the high degree of subjectivation of COVID-factors for the constitution of social reality in Russia implies in the future a greater adaptability of society to such shocks, since the degree of subjectivation of the threat is associated with the degree of further objectification of the constitutive foundations of social development. In particular, a feature of the domestic scientific discourse has been established, expressed by a significant increase in publications with the attribute “COVID” in 2020–2021, compared with such traditional attributes of social discourse as: “economy”, “education”, “culture”, “politics”.
Key words: social discourse, theoretical discourse, constitution of social reality, COVID-factors, statistics, typology, comparison.
