On some principles of motivation to study foreign language among students of non-linguistic specialties

Analyzed is modern training of future specialists. This is especially important for students of non-linguistic specialties, who need to be created certain pedagogical conditions, that contribute to motivation to learn a foreign language. In this regard, there is the problem of motivation to study a foreign language, complexity and multidimensionality of which requires special attention to understanding it’s essential characteristics as well as to methods of implementing it’s various functions.The article reveals various aspects of some principles of motivation to study a foreign language among students of non-linguistic specialties. Disclosure of these aspects is connected with providing opportunities for effective teaching of a foreign language in the context of increasing students’ motivation for cognitive activity.
