Role of public institutions in the process of formation of gender differentiation of contemporary personality

Analyzed are gender constructs of modernity. The absence of unified theory of development of sexual differentiation of personality gives rise to shaky boundaries of it’s constituent components. Social integration and self-realization of individual are processes of individual’s formation and assimilation of generally accepted norms, stereotypes, behavioral and moral values inherent in masculine or feminine representatives. Gender behavior is less dependent on personal characteristics, but more dependent on expected social norms. In this research social or physiological factors of identity of person are specified, roots of gender manifestation of individual are revealed, processes of gender formation are studied, and the essence of masculinity and femininity is revealed.
