Interdisciplinary educational profect as a way of formation of foreign language competence in students

Examined is interdisciplinary educational project as a way of formation of foreign language competence in students. Surveyed are results of analysis of researches on structural content characteristic of meaning of “foreign language competence”. Described is experience of Astrakhan state university in using interdisciplinary educational project in the context of the Worldwide CDIO Initiative standards practice, aimed at formation of foreign language competence in students of non-languages specialties. Also presented are the authors’ recommendations as to practical use of interdisciplinary project in concrete educational practice on formation of foreign language competence in students.
