Discussed is one of the important problems of Russian society, i.e. formation of scientific and scientific pedagogical personnel. Under conditions of expanding research area from quality of training of scientific and scientific pedagogical cadres depends degree of development of scientific progress in the country. Training of specialists of higher qualification is rightly considered as one of the highest priorities of the Russian educational system. The article focuses on experiences and problems of working with post-graduate students at sub-faculty of university. Presented is the analysis of current status of university post-graduate school. Also identified are problems, related to training and formation of scientific and scientific pedagogical staff at university. Proposed is the system of work with post-graduate students at university sub-faculty.
