Analyzed is potential of “flipped classroom” model as one of method of realization of mixed training in English language students at technical high school. Despite being widely discussed by experts in modern higher education, the model has enough limits as to researches in it’s effectiveness in training in foreign language. The aim of the article is to summarize practical experience and analyze it’s results, obtained during experiment at Tomsk polytechnic university within the course of “Professional English for Engineering”. Having studied pros and cons of the discussed model, the authors conclude, that technology of “flipped classroom” possesses certain undoubted advantages over traditional model of organization of training process, enabling to enhance students’ motivation to learning foreign language, forming and developing their analytical, searching and language abilities and skills.
