Presented is analytical survey of monograph “Macro-history: Essays in sociology of length continuation” by R. Collins, one of famous modern researcher in social reality. The book represents itself as brilliant example of dynamic theoretical approach in historical macro-sociology. Emphasized is that R. Collins partially skims “the cream” of that rapidly developing scientific direction, presenting and skillfully unifying various conceptions of most prominent representatives of macro-sociology. Principal place in R. Collins’ monograph, pointed the author of the article, is being taken by analysis of central themes of historical macro-sociology. Conclusion is made, that “Macro-history: Essays in sociology of length continuation” is being intended for study of sociologists, politologists and social philosophers, as well as specialists in military, economic and cultural history.
