Analyzed is the problem of development of education in Russia, detailed are basic tendencies of this development. Determined are basic problems of modern state of the system of education, and also characterized are alarming trends in the process of it’s development, as well as elaborated is a number of methodical approaches to solution of corresponding problems. Substantiated is necessity of growing of investments into education, scientific research and workings as one of significant condition of improving quality of training specialists. In comparison, shown are concrete examples of scope and efficiency of growing investments into education and scientific research work in various countries of the world. Also substantiated is necessity to change social status of the system of education, in particular importance of increase in it’s funding.
