Analyzed are peculiarities of transformation of the sphere of higher education on post-Soviet territory in the context of processes of standardization and benchmarking. Substantiated is point of view, that yearning for adaptation in institutional sphere of education could lead to imitation of certain models and copying of practices of each other. At the same time, the authors stressed, that reformation of European universities? Aimed at raising of their rating in such or another world rating system, it does not always contribute to increase in efficiency of their work. Also discussed are some peculiar characteristics of development of higher education and integrative processes in educational sphere of Euro-Asian economic community (EAES). Substantiated are both objectivity and actuality, as to coming into being and development of the “market of educational services” on the basis of Euro-Asian platform.
