Presented is an analysis of practice of selection and evaluation of lecturers’ staff at medical faculties of Strassburg, France, and Ruhr, Germany, universities. Especially elaborated are peculiarities of contracts with professors at medical faculties both in France and Germany, described are basic directions of their activity, revealed is amount of workload per week, as well as opportunities for continuing education, activity upon occurrence of retirement age, and also criteria for performance assessment and evaluation of lecturers by students.
