Apollo challenge as a stimulus for development of education

Presented is an analysis of historical development of the sphere of education, as a result of which was identified one of main stimulus of the named development. To characterize it, a new social-philosophical concept was introduced, i.e. Apollo challenge. Successful response to Apollo challenge represents mentally produced innovations by educational and administrative elite, resulting in progress of education and society in general.
