Transformation processes in the system of modern Russian education

Presented is an analysis of transformation processes in Russian national system of education, which manifest themselves in such areas, as weakening of state’s role, violation and further cleavage of connetions between education and production and economy, lack of strategic development, de-ideologization, legalization of market relations, decline in intellectualization of the youth. Some areas are confirmed by empirical testimonies of the author.

Key words: education, social and professional potential, socio-cultural potential, market-oriented educational model, safety, youth.
