Digital challenges and Threats to Social Governance: A Sociological reflection

The article is devoted to modern processes of digitalization and the introduction of high technologies in social life. The concept of “digital challenge” is investigated. The risks and threats of large-scale introduction of high technologies in social life are identified. The effectiveness of management is directly dependent on the speed of a person’s reaction to any changes. It is concluded that a person as a species of Homo Sapiens is subject to a large number of threats during digitalization. In addition, the very idea of statehood is threatened.
