Features of organization of local self-government in border regions of the Russian Federation

Discussed are existing approaches to organization of local self-government in border areas. Analysis of international, federal, regional and local regulatory framework in the field of cross-border cooperation is presented. Also the main mechanisms for implementation of management in the territory, having this specificity are highlighted.

Key words: local government, bodies of power, international cooperation, cross-border cooperation.
