To the question of transformation processes and their impact on modernization of scientific and educational space in Russia

Examined are processes of transformation and modernization of Russian education. Analysis of current sociocultural situation indicates that it is necessary to modernize forms and methods of educational activity and develop new guidelines for education. This is due to specifics of social development of post-Soviet Russia, cardinal changes in socio-economic and socio-political life of the country. The article gives a brief analysis of influence of these processes on development of the country’s education system as a whole.
