Researched is the theme of the need of reforming, improving and renovating of modern Russian education. The author raises the problem of educational paradigm development to improve educational process quality and, therefore, to increase the level of students’ education. Two “extreme” educational paradigms are critically comprehended and analyzed: classical paradigm, that underlies mass education, focused on reproduction of the subject of labor and implementing pragmatic approach, and non-classical paradigm, focusing on reproduction of personality and implementing human-centric approach to education. It is argued that teaching pedagogical techniques and technologies cannot be considered outside the time parameter that determines the age of educable (student), his or her knowledge base and skills, his or her subjective desire (or unwillingness) to receive particular knowledge system, this or that amount of information, his or her vision of prospective of their place in the community of subjects of the objective world. A new integral educational paradigm is proposed, that includes both theses of classical paradigm and statements of non-classical educational paradigm.

Keywords: education, educational paradigms, secondary and higher education, improving learning process.
