Cicero’s pedagogical heritage in the content of higher humanitarian education

Reseacrched is the theme of pedagogical heritage of Roman politician, orator and philosopher Mark Tullius Cicero in the content of higher humanitarian education. In the article, presented is overview of how pedagogical legacy of Cicero is reflected in textbooks, anthologies and selections of literature on history of pedagogy and education for students of humanities in the past and the present centuries. The authors’ conclusion is made about the meaning of pedagogical heritage by Cicero for modernity, and also defined are it’s role and place in higher humanitarian education.
