Special attention is being presented by the study of social situational aspects of choosing by students of master programs of economics profile. On the base of the authors’ total survey of motivations of students of mastership at UNN, revealed are basic factors of students’ choice of mastership. Conclusion is made, that the choice of high school as provider of master’s program is conditioned by content of educational process, confidence of employers to high school’s brand, and also by the habit. Also displayed are correlations between types of motives and expectations of students, as well as evaluated is degree of satisfaction of them with the choice of both strong and weak sides of selected programs.
