Analyzed is educational tendency in Russian pedagogy from second half of the XIX to first half of the XX centuries i.e. providentially oriented education, based on the idea of combining individual and collective search for providential meanings of education. Special place is given to analysis of goals, objectives, principles, tools and content of providential oriented education.
