Researched is the process of joining to educational and socio-cultural environment of university for international student. The relevance of the issue under consideration is determined by the necessity to identify factors, that influence adaptation of foreign students and contribute to making sound and effective management decisions by university staff to regulate this process. Revealed are principal factors, assisting  to creation of favorable conditions for joining educational environment, analysis of which create pre-requisites for further, more detailed research of adaptation process. The research results could be used for theoretical justification and building in practice of mechanism for managing adaptation of foreign students in educational environment.
