Training of future teachers for work in new Russian school: barrier myths

Researched is actual problem of identifying and describing some of myths about current training of future teachers for work in new school environment and their consequences. Emphasized is, that in higher pedagogical education myths as part of culture have both constructive and destructive character. They can serve as decision of certain pedagogical problems or, on the contrary, has inhibiting effect, hindering improvement of teacher education. Shown is, that myths in the field of higher pedagogical education are directly dependent on remnants of pedagogical society. It is concluded, that overcoming myths is integral part of transformation and improvement of professional training of future teachers.
