Scientific research activity as fundament of training highly qualified specialists at medical high school

Examined are types of scientific schools, and also the role of such in development scientific research activity of university in training cadres of higher qualification. Russian and foreign scientific and pedagogic literature was reviewed, as well as corresponding experience of similar organizations in Russia and some foreign educational institutions was analyzed, and also scientific achievements in the field of medicine. Problems and perspectives of development of scientific schools are discussed. Some aspects of reform of postgraduate doctoral degree education are reviewed, and the problem of it’s efficiency discussed. Conclusion is made, that in training of cadres of higher qualification the aim of activity is in formation competences in the field of scientific research activity, mastering methodology and technique of scientific investigation, formation and development of components of professional research culture.
