Examined is one of the most urgent problems of modern pedagogy, i.e. teachers’ staff preparation to work with gifted students. Analyzed are innovative methods of teachers’ training to work with gifted students in various countries. The analysis reveals modern trends of special teachers’ training to work with gifted students and substantiates necessity of study of international experience. The leading approach in the study of the problem is methodological principle of systematic, which enables to take into account and structure variety of factors, and also exclude one-sidedness in selection and evaluation of factors. The main results of the study are to systematize trends of teachers’ staff preparation to work with gifted students in under conditions of national system of education.
