In the structure of the national-state ideosystem the central place is occupied by the image of the personality, which concentrates in itself the iconic values for it. Personality in the problems of the ideosystem manifests itself in three aspects: as a subject, as an object, and as an ideal. As applied to the army, the category “ideal of the warrior”, whose adequate state is based on a harmonious combination of “past”, “present”, and “future” components, is of paramount importance.

Key words: national-state ideosystem, personality, personality-subject, personality-object, personality-ideal, “warrior ideal”.
